Dr. Quoc Jonathan Tran Joins OrthoAlabama Spine & Sports
Quoc Jonathan Tran, M.D., a fellowship-trained interventional pain management specialist, joined OrthoAlabama Spine & Sports on Jan. 1. Dr. Tran is available to see patients in Birmingham at 1801 Gadsden Highway and in Hoover at 118 Mars Hill Road. Dr. Tran specializes in nonsurgical and image-guided procedures designed to reduce pain, improve function and help patients return to the activities they enjoy. His expertise includes:
- Epidural, facet and intradiscal injections.
- Kyphoplasty and sacroplasty.
- Minimally invasive lumbar decompression (MILD).
- Neuromodulation (spinal cord and peripheral nerve stimulation, ReActiv8).
- Orthobiologics.
- Radiofrequency ablation (basivertebral nerve and medial branch).
- Ultrasound-guided musculoskeletal injections.

Dr. Tran earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He completed his physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at Carolinas Rehabilitation in Charlotte, North Carolina, followed by fellowship training in interventional pain management at OrthoAlabama Spine & Sports in Birmingham, Alabama. He is double-board-certified by the American Board of Pain Medicine and the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
