JOB SUMMARY:

Schedule and reschedule appointments for patients using established templates in the patient database and protocols for each of the providers.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or its equivalent
  • 1 year of experience in the medical field, orthopedic background preferred
  • 1 year of scheduling appointments in a high-volume physician practice required

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Knowledge of practice management software as it relates to scheduling
  • Must be tech savvy with advanced computer skills; quick learner of new processes and software applications
  • Basic telephone skills and capable of multitasking
  • Good communication skills to interact with patients, physicians, and outside parties by telephone or in person
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology
  • Ability to follow preestablished procedures and protocols

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:

  • Schedule all incoming new patient referrals with the appropriate physician or other providers.
  • Verify all the patient demographic information is accurate in the computer system when scheduling.
  • Assist patients in canceling and or rescheduling follow-up appointments by telephone.
  • Obtain demographic and billing insurance information from the patient, family, or legal guardian and enter information into the registration/billing system.
  • Confirm appointments with the strictest confidentiality via phone for the following date of service. Communicates all pertinent information to ensure the patient is aware of location, time, and any other information as needed.
  • Print daily appointment schedules for various reasons.
  • Block and open appointment times as requested by providers.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor.

JOB SUMMARY:

Schedule surgeries for assigned physician(s). Responsibilities include coordinating surgical procedures with multiple hospitals and surgery centers, scheduling and obtaining pre-operative testing, writing and communicating surgery orders, and collecting necessary documentation for surgeries. This individual works closely with patients, physicians, and surgery locations to provide accurate, timely, and responsive paperwork. Experience scheduling orthopedic procedures is highly desired.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1 year of computer skills

JOB SUMMARY:

Seeking a team-oriented, service-driven X-Ray Technologist for our busy orthopedic practice. The X-Ray Tech will provide direct patient care as they conduct radiography procedures in support of our physicians and PAs as they evaluate and treat patients. This team member will contribute to the achievement of excellence in healthcare to fulfill the mission of the unit. The duties listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Flexible schedule! (4 days per week, 10 hours per day. Tuesday – Friday or Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday) Weekend hours are available for overtime, but not mandatory. Quarterly retention bonuses for full-time employees. Great benefits package and competitive pay! Pay BOE.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Completion of an accredited program in X-ray technology or its equivalent
  • License according to state laws
  • BLS & ARRT Certification (Preferred)
  • Ability to take necessary X-rays, position patients, and notify physicians when questionable results are found

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Must have good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be proficient with medical and patient database software
  • Must be able to operate and maintain imaging equipment
  • Must be able to work standing and be able to physically assist and position patients

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform satisfactory X-rays using digital radiography equipment.
  • Follow all Federal and State guidelines in accordance with radiation and radiation units.
  • Utilize computer software programs as needed to communicate and understand patient needs (i.e., scheduling, EMR, etc.).
  • Provide a copy of X-ray images on either paper, electronic, CD, or other mode as needed.
  • Gather patient data and medical history and assist in the intake/rooming of patients.
  • Participate in the planning and evaluation of patient care by communicating all information pertinent to the patient's status.
  • Maintain supplies and equipment and assist to ensure orderliness of the examination and treatment rooms.
  • Provide for patients' comfort, safety, and privacy.
  • Report all necessary information and/or unusual occurrences in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Assist patients in preparation for medical exams and/or procedures. Keep patients comfortable during waiting time.
  • Assist in patient flow in and around the clinical area.
  • Provide patient care during clinic visits according to policies and procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Able to assist with moving patients from wheelchairs and stretchers.
  • Able to list up to 50 pounds.
