Dr. Bradly Goodman Featured on WVUA-TV’s “Football Friday” Show Discussing the Intracept® Procedure
Former sprinter at The University of Alabama and 2024 Ugandan Olympian Tarsis Orogot shared his recovery story on WVUA 23's Football Friday, featuring his treatment with Dr. Bradly Goodman at OrthoAlabama Spine & Sports.
After his 200-meter career at Alabama, where he set the SEC Championship record, Orogot represented Uganda at the 2024 Paris Olympics. During competition, he began experiencing tightness and numbness that traveled down his leg, symptoms that ultimately led to a diagnosis of an L5-S1 disc injury.
Dr. Goodman recommended the Intracept procedure, a minimally invasive treatment that targets the basivertebral nerve rather than the disc itself, to help address the source of Orogot's back-related leg pain.
Following the procedure, Orogot described a gradual return to training and competition. He is now preparing to represent Uganda again at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
Patient experiences vary, and outcomes depend on individual diagnosis and treatment planning. To learn more about the Intracept procedure and whether it may be right for you, schedule a consultation by calling (205) 228-7600 or schedule an appointment online.
