Quoc Jonathan Tran, M.D.

Dr. Quoc Jonathan Tran is a double-board-certified pain medicine and physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist with advanced fellowship training in interventional pain management. He is committed to providing effective nonsurgical and minimally invasive treatments for conditions of the spine, nerves, and musculoskeletal system. Dr. Tran focuses on creating personalized care plans that utilize state-of-the-art imaging, precision-guided techniques, and evidence-based therapies to help patients reduce pain, restore mobility, and return to the activities they enjoy.

Dr. Tran graduated summa cum laude from Houston Christian University in Texas with a Bachelor of Science degree. He then received his Doctor of Medicine degree from UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He completed his internal medicine internship at The University of Alabama at Birmingham, followed by residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Carolinas Rehabilitation in Charlotte, North Carolina. Dr. Tran then pursued additional advanced training through a fellowship in interventional pain management at OrthoAlabama Spine & Sports.

Dr. Tran offers expertise in a broad range of interventional procedures, including epidural, facet, and intradiscal injections, radiofrequency ablation (basivertebral nerve and medial branch), kyphoplasty and sacroplasty, ultrasound-guided musculoskeletal injections, neuromodulation (spinal cord and peripheral nerve stimulation, ReActiv8®), and minimally invasive spine procedures, such as lumbar decompression (MILD). His approach emphasizes individualized, minimally invasive solutions designed to reduce downtime and improve long-term outcomes. 

Dedicated to patient-centered care, Dr. Tran works closely with each patient to understand their symptoms, goals, and concerns. He provides clear communication and thoughtful guidance, ensuring patients feel informed and supported when choosing the treatment plan that best meets their needs. His goal is to help every patient achieve meaningful, lasting improvement in function and quality of life.

When he is not seeing patients, Dr. Tran enjoys playing volleyball, traveling, and exploring the outdoors with his wife and children.
