What to Expect at Our Walk-In Clinic
Available at our Birmingham and Hoover offices, our Walk-In Clinic provides prompt, expert care for patients suffering from orthopedic injuries. For immediate treatment for acute bone, joint, and muscle injuries and conditions, within 48 hours of injury, stop in and be seen by the first available provider.
A few things to keep in mind before your visit:
- Provider availability varies by day and time. Walk-in patients are seen by the first available provider, who may be a physician or a mid-level provider such as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant. We cannot guarantee that a provider specializing in your specific area of concern will be available at the time of your visit.
- Walk-in hours are separate from regular office hours. Our walk-in clinic closes earlier than our standard office hours. We recommend arriving as early in the day as possible to ensure you can be seen. Please see our walk-in clinic hours listed above.
- Insurance referrals still apply. If your insurance requires a referral from your primary care provider, we are unable to accommodate same-day walk-ins without prior arrangements. If you have a referral requirement, please have your primary care office call us at (205) 228-7600 to make arrangements before your arrival.
