My knees were affecting my everyday function. The pain was unbearable. I was 64 when I had my first surgery (11/2019). It was absolutely life changing. Therapy was a bit hard, but I was determined. Healing went as was expected. Complete healing took about a year, and I was able to function better than I had in years. My surgery on my other knee was two years later. I learned from my first experience and I wasn’t in therapy as long as the first time. Pain was managed much better without a lot of prescription medication.
I am about to turn 70. Not once have I regretted my surgeries. I retired in 2023. I am very active at my church. I have nine grandchildren (1 year to 11), and I am able to enjoy outings with them, babysit, cook, routine walking activity, everything! I can even squat. I am so grateful to God and Dr. Tyler Marshall. My knees were a hot, painful mess before. Now I am walking in sunshine 🤗
